Automated internet connection testing and monitoring. Log connection outages, graph speeds over time, and more. Network Logger can also be used to monitor web sites and produce historical graphs of their speeds, outages, and response times. Optionally display current network speed in the menu bar.

Network Logger also creates a list of all of your internet connection outages. If there are certain times of day or week that your network slows down or has an outage, Network Logger will show you.

Graphs can be saved as PDFs and data can be exported as .csv or as standard OSX .log files.

Some customers have told us of interesting uses they have for Network Logger. One is a network contractor who uses it to monitor wifi systems he installs on remote drilling rigs and to provide statistics to his clients documenting his service. Another uses Network Logger to monitor a weak satellite link in Africa, to determine the best times of day to connect.

An optional speech synthesis feature announces when your internet connection goes down and up which can be handy when you are working on your network in another room and saves you from walking back and forth to check your network status.

A customer comment that demonstrates a real world use of Network Logger:

"My DSL has been dropping its connection (losing sync) about a ten times a day. This wouldnt be a huge problem for just casual surfing, but it brings down my VPN connection every time and everything running over that connection, which is a big hassle. Network Logger has been invaluable in documenting for my ISP just how frequently my connection goes down. When I called my ISP with this information, I got to 2nd level support almost immediately, without even being asked if its plugged in, or to turn it off and turn it on again.

Im getting a backup cable connection later this week, but last time I used this company a few years ago, they were providing less than 50% of advertised speeds, so Im looking forward to also using Network Logger to monitor that Im getting what I pay for.

All in all, a great tool with lots of different uses. Very handy to have in your toolbox whether you need to constantly monitor a site, or just to have around for occasional use when your network or site starts behaving oddly."
